Taylor Margot is a Partner at Progress LLP. Mr. Margot’s experience lies at the intersection of economics, corporate transactions and deal strategy. He has significant experience advising startups throughout their lifecycles, from formation through exit.
At Progress, Mr. Margot represents corporate clients with an emphasis on protecting and licensing intellectual property rights, in addition to advising them on their broader corporate needs.
Prior to joining Progress, Mr. Margot worked for a number of years as an associate at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, PC, a corporate technology law firm, and in-house at Fluidigm Corporation, a biotechnology company. He was also guest lecturer and teaching assistant at Berkeley Law for a class focusing on law and venture capital in Silicon Valley.
Mr. Margot received his J.D. from Berkeley Law School in 2013 and his B.A., magna cum laude, in 2010 from the University of California, Berkeley, where he double majored in History and American Studies. Mr. Margot is a member of Phi Beta Kappa, the honor society.
