Dr. Catherine Ye
Dr. Catherine Ye has over a decade of experience in high tech business and is a registered patent agent. She has worked with startups, individual inventors and academic institutions globally, including Silicon Valley and New England, Taiwan and China. She works with electronics, clean tech and biotechnology portfolios, interacting with clients including entrepreneurs and investment firms globally on technology, business strategy and patent analysis.
Dr. Ye maintains a separate patent prosecution practice with a firm that she founded called Treasure IP. Prior to founding Treasure IP, Dr. Catherine Ye was a Senior Scientist, Principal investigator and a team leader at the General Electric Global Research Center. Dr. Ye graduated from Fudan University with a BS in Chemistry in 1997, and received an M.S. and Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Princeton University in 1998 and 2002. She has worked at GE Global Research Center first as a senior scientist then as a project leader, on a number of advanced technology programs including high performance materials, green materials and organic electronics. She has won GE’s highest R&D team award, the Whitney Award, multiple times for the potential business impact. She holds 45 US patent applications, 18 issued patents and 7 peer reviewed scientific publications. She has been registered to practice before the United State Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) since 2009.
